At least four people were killed in a devastating car crash in southern California Four people were killed in Malibu after a driver lost control of their car on the Pacific Coast Highway. The deadly crash took place around 8.30pm on Tuesday night on the iconic southern California roadway, near a dangerous curve near Carbon Beach. According to the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department , the driver lost control of his vehicle before swerving into parked cars.
Locals in Southern California frequently refer to this area as a ‘Dead Man’s Curve,’ NBC4 Los Angeles reported. ‘People don’t understand that they need to slow down around that curve and they lose control,’ one local told the station. A stretch of the four-lane highway was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday morning as police and first responders worked the site of the devastating crash. The Lost Hills Sheriff Station said the highway will remain closed indefinitely on Wednesday morning.
