It joins Aberdeen, Teesside, and London City, where queue times have been cut by 50 per cent after new scanners came in
A major airport in the UK has become the fourth to lift limits on liquids and electronic devices in hand luggage. Bristol Airport is the latest to install new security scanners which removes the need for travellers to follow strict 100ml liquid rules and place them inside clear plastic bags.
Bristol Airport Chief Operating Officer said: “We are delighted all customers travelling from Bristol Airport will benefit from state-of-the-art technology being introduced at security. “Customers are reminded that whilst the UK has introduced the new security regulations on their return from destination airports customers are advised to check the requirements of their departing airport, as these regulations may differ from the UK.”
