After years of rumors and updates, Freaky Friday 2 is officially a go, with THR reporting that Disney has set a director to helm the sequel.
According to a new report, Nisha Ganatra has been set to direct the upcoming film. StarsTalks of a sequel to Freaky Friday have been rumbling for a few years now, with the latest update coming from Lohan. Earlier this month, theIt has been nearly 20 years since Freaky Friday made its theatrical release in 2003. In addition to receiving positive reviews, the film was also a box office success with a worldwide gross of more than $160 million against a reported budget of $26 million.
The 2003 film starred Curtis, Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, and more. It is based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name.
