Team GB diver, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, daughter of First Dates' Fred Siriex, will be competing for Olympic Gold, hoping to add to her already impressive collection at just 19
Fred Sirieix became a household name when he first fronted the Channel 4’s First Dates restaurant in 2013. His charm and wit quickly led him to become a fan favourite, going on to feature on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo.
On Wednesday morning Andrea will be taking part in the synchronised 10m platform diving, as she hopes to win gold for her country at the young age of 19, already holding 24 senior national and international medals in total. The young star recently won gold in the 2024 World Aquatics Championships team event, and she didn’t stop there as she went on to make history by becoming the first British woman in world diving championships history to secure a medal in an individual Olympic event, after securing the bronze in the ten-metre platform.
"The fact that I'm throwing myself over 10 metres should be enough to start a conversation. If you're honing in on my costume, it's very telling about how you've conditioned your mind."When I see volleyball players people in my sport who are overly sexualised, I kind of feel disgusted by that," she continued. "We've dedicated our lives to this. We're not doing this so you can tell us we look good.
