Freddie Flintoff has spoken out about the horrifying crash that changed his life while filming Top Gear in 2022, and how it left his BBC cricket documentary in doubt
Freddie Flintoff has opened up about his harrowing Top Gear crash that almost put a full-stop to his TV career, nearly halting plans for his thrilling new BBC cricket documentary, Field of Dreams.
Described as "the story of the most unlikely cricket tour that almost didn't happen", the narration sets the stage for an emotional rollercoaster. Viewers will see Freddie announce to his team: "We're all going to find out something about ourselves - me included."In heart-rending scenes, he praises the young cricketers from Preston, proclaiming: "From what I've done in my career. You lads are my greatest achievements," reports the Mirror.
Freddie's accident horrified fans when he was injured while filming Top Gear in 2022 at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, Surrey. The BBC expressed regret for the incident in March 2023 and settled with Freddie last year, with a reported £9m payout.
