The BBC has commissioned a third run of Freddie Flintoff's hit show Field of Dreams after the second series ended on a high on Tuesday night
Freddie Flintoff's hit documentary series, Field of Dreams, has been commissioned for a third series by the BBC, hot on the heels of his return to television following the accident he suffered on Top Gear.
A source with knowledge of the project spoke to The Daily Mirror, revealing: "Freddie's last two series have been a huge success and he and the boys have loved making them. The BBC jumped at the chance to do a third series." The climactic match took place in Kolkata Football and Cricket Club, presenting the cricket enthusiasts with their most formidable challenge to date.
There have been calls for Flintoff to be recognised with a BAFTA and a Sports Personality of The Year award. However, the season almost didn't happen due to Flintoff's near-fatal crash in December 2022 at Dunsfold airfield in Surrey, which left him feeling 'lucky to be alive'.
