A friend of Top Gear host Freddie Flintoff has spoken out about why the former cricketer decided to stay out of the media after a horrific crash last year.
The sporting star had to wait 45 minutes for an air ambulance after the crash, something the BBC has since apologised for. Filming for Top Gear came to a grinding halt after the crash and it still hasn't been confirmed when the new series will be released.Freddie has been on the show alongside Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris since 2019 and is popular with viewers.
“It was about his own confidence, and it was great to see him back with a smile on his face. He's gone through a hell of a lot, he really has. It was a huge ordeal and nobody can understand what somebody goes through inside.
