Mary Austin is set to land a huge payday of £187.5million
Mary Austin, the former fiancee of Queen's frontman Freddie Mercury, is set to receive a substantial payout from the late star's estate, potentially making her one of Britain's wealthiest women. This comes as Queen plans to sell their back catalogue in a record-breaking deal worth £1 billion with Song.

Mary, who was famously referred to by Freddie as his 'common-law wife', shared: "The house has such love and warmth in every room. It has been a joy to live in and I have many wonderful memories here". She reminisced about the Queen frontman, whom she met through band member Brian May when she worked in PR for the fashion label Biba.
Although he identified as gay, Freddie had an enduring love for Mary and reputedly said, "All my lovers asked me why they couldn't replace Mary, but it's simply impossible."
