Manchester Pret café giving away hundreds of free croissants on January 30th to celebrate National Croissant Day.
A popular Pret café in Manchester city centre is set to give away hundreds of free croissants later this week. This special event is in celebration of National Croissant Day . On Thursday (January 30th), the Pret coffee shop on Cross Street will be offering 300 free croissants to customers who purchase a coffee. This offer will be exclusive to this particular Pret location in the city, and with high demand expected, early birds are encouraged to head down.
The Cross Street café has been identified as the number one spot for croissant sales across all Pret locations in the country. The chain reports that a croissant is sold approximately every 30 seconds each morning at this store, leaving all other Manchester branches trailing behind. Pret states that they sell a staggering 17 million croissants annually throughout the UK. This impressive figure is enough to stretch from London to Paris a remarkable seven times over. The café boasts a variety of croissant options, including All Butter, Chocolate, and Almond variations. To claim a free pastry on Thursday, simply visit the Cross Street store early, purchase a coffee, and mention the password 'Happy Croissant Day'. The first 300 customers to do so will be rewarded with their choice of a complimentary croissant. Anna Tebbs, UK Head of Food at Pret, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating: 'At Pret, we pride ourselves on serving our customers pastries freshly baked that same day. With around 17 million pastries sold each year, it’s clear our customers can’t get enough of these flaky favourites. We’re thrilled to celebrate National Croissant Day by giving back to croissant fans with a special treat. Whether it’s a classic All Butter or a rich Croissant Almond, there’s a pastry for every taste, and a day like this is all about enjoying them to the fullest!' Pret's free croissant promotion will be valid exclusively at the Cross Street store from 7am onwards until supplies run out on Thursday (January 30th). The address is 27 Cross Street, Manchester, M2 1WL
