There are all-day bands and DJs coming to this annual event in South Manchester
A much-loved street party is returning to South Manchester this bank holiday weekend for the third time. Party for the People III is being held once more in Withington by the village’s cool art bar Cafe Blah and the vegan ice cream bar Ice Shack.
The cafe sits on the corner of Wilmslow Road and Davenport Avenue, making it the perfect spot for a road closure and a dance in the street. The event has been a fixture since 2022, with local bands and performers joining the Blah team to make it a fun day out for anyone who wants a dance.Cafe Blah’s co-owner Adam Porrino said that it feels like something is needed to bring communities back together after recent disorder within towns across the North West.
The priority of the Blah team is having a good time, and in Cafe Blah’s lifespan in Withington, it has brought together different groups of people through film nights, poetry slams and art shows.“It’s not about the money. We aren’t a bar that pays for ads on social media or through marketing companies.
