As Freedom Fibre progresses the rollout of full-fibre broadband in North Shropshire, the alternative network provider is proud to provide sponsorship worth thousands of pounds to local business networking groups as part of its social value commitments to communities.

Full-fibre connectivity is crucial for local businesses – faster broadband helps to promote long-term growth, boost local economies, and encouraging entrepreneurship. This long-term economic security is vital to make sure that no part of the country is left behind, especially with the rapid digitisation of the UK through growing and emerging technological sectors.

Lee Sutch, Head of B2B at Freedom Fibre said: “Our full-fibre business solutions can play a critical role in helping businesses to thrive. Our sponsorship of local networking events aims to support local groups to foster and build relationships between local businesses and residents, championing and encouraging innovation and growth, and to have a positive and lasting impact in their communities”.

Vicki Ayton, CEO of BizEd Projects CiC said: “Freedom Fibre’s sponsorship of BizEd Projects’ networking events has made a real difference, helping us to set up and deliver several ‘Whitchurch women in business’ networking events in 2024 bringing a wide range of local businesspeople together. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Freedom Fibre in 2025.”

Freedom Fibre has been proud to sponsor networking events based in North Shropshire run by Project SY12, BizEd Projects CiC, and Wem Rural Parish Council both in 2024 and throughout 2025. These groups host dozens of networking events in Wem, Ellesmere and Whitchurch, bringing together local businesspeople for events such as International Women’s Day, business marketing, coffee mornings, health and wellness and fairs, and panels and talks from prominent local businesswomen.

2025 will continue to see this wide variety of event programmes throughout North Shropshire – for more information about these groups as well as forthcoming events, please visit Project SY12, BizEd Projects CiC, and Wem Rural Parish Council.I'm a dog trainer, and this is the surprisingly tricky breed that Shropshire residents should really research carefully before adopting
