Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwan's double world champion Lin Yu-ting are women who have every right to compete at the Paris Olympics despite an ongoing gender row that has overshadowed their competitions.
The second gender row boxer who today won a medal has been plunged into a new controversy by her opponent.
Yu-Ting has been accused of being a man, by the International Boxing Federation after failing gender eligibility tests in the world championships in India last year.But one spectator said: 'it's quite shocking if that's what she meant. She said: 'I have received many messages of support from my country and from people in Paris. I thank them.'I am going to keep going and going to the gold medal. I have won a bronze medal, but I want to win the gold.'
