EXCLUSIVE: Vanessa Feltz is a total trooper, but a source has told OK! that friends and family are worried she's 'doing too much' – especially following a recent health scare
Vanessa Feltz suffered quite the health scare when she was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, after finding herself 'doubled over in agony', following lunch at home with her grandkids. The TV presenter, 62, was diagnosed with kidney stones and promptly treated by surgeons but was left shaken by the ordeal as she updated her social media followers from her hospital bed the morning after.
"Normally, I am quite a trooper with this stuff.... I normally could be ill and I'll take a couple paracetamol and just rock on. But there was no way I could, I just couldn't. So anyway, luckily managed to get seen at hospital quite quickly, thank God, because I was just in agony. I couldn't sit down, I couldn't lie down, I didn't know what to do."
"Vanessa has made no secret of the fact she loves going out and literally has not spent a night in since splitting from Ben, she hates being on her own and it's her worst fear appearing lonely," they said. "She's going out at night and then doing early TV shifts in the morning while also being full on with her grandkids - it's really worrying her daughters."
