Those in the area flocked to social media to determine if their eyes were playing tricks on them or if they had, indeed, seen the woodland creatures wandering around the Nitshill Road area.One person wrote:"I've just seen a deer running down Seamill Street."
Another said:"A herd of deer have just popped up along the Nitshill Road. Traffic doesn't know what to do."It's understood around four deer were on the loose last night, however, it's not clear where they've appeared from. Residents said work being carried out as part of a new housing development in the fields behind the area may be bringing the creatures out of their comfort zone.
