In fact, it’s probably nobody’s. I reduced myintake from 2500 to 1200 a day; about the amount a toddler should live on. I started working out twice daily and lost enough weight to see veins in my stomach.
I started following competitive athletes online, and inspired, wanted to see how far I could push myself. No one was more surprised than me when I decided to give competitive bodybuilding a go.were mixed. Friends thought it was mad I’d miss out on so many memories with them for some abs. My parents were on board with the idea until they saw the reality; when I had a bowl of chicken and broccoli for the seventh time in a week my mum started expressing her concern for my wellbeing.
I also loved the process of preparing to compete and discovering how strong-minded I could be. But spending all that time in the gym had downsides. I was unsociable and spent so much energy working out that I noticed my mood was often low, or even just… non-existent; it felt too much to even be happy, sad or stressed.in my life fell to the bottom of the priority list. I told myself that it was a temporary sacrifice; necessary to achieve my goal.
