One coach in Atlanta, Georgia is balancing Olympic duty with daily duty at a local school.
DACULA, Ga. — From middle school athletes to Olympians, one local coach is committed to everyone reaching their full potential.
It’s turned up to maximum effort and is always upbeat. That’s the tone and effort their strength coach demands and demonstrates. Arnold may be in the business of building bodies but he’s a coach who knows true strength starts with the mind and spirit. It means a lot to the athletes. “He’s a great example to us,” Kemp added. “Just being a man of faith and trusting in God every day.” Coach Arnold says it is a priority to him.
After school, it’s off to Coach Arnold’s gym in Lawrenceville, Power and Grace Performance. This father of three coaches Team USA weightlifters, like Olympic silver medalist Kate Vibert and Olympian and World Medalist Jourdan Delacruz. Arnold coached both of them through the pandemic delay of the 2020 Games and through competition in the 2021 Tokyo Games.
