Large bins dumped on a busy residential road have now attracted rats and bugs, according to frustrated neighbours living next to them. Residents on Mansfield Street in Sherwood have spoken out over the four large bins that mysteriously appear on their road "every week".
"I personally reported the bins issue before. Rather than keeping them off the street, they just leave them here. Mr Johnson, 28, commented: "But the last time they were here for three or four days. Usually when I wake up in the morning I see them when I go to work." The 33-year-old added: "It does not look good at all for the community. It's not all the time they do this, but whenever it's left here for a long time, we struggle with the parking and the smell."
David Hails, a retired teacher who lives next to the bins, 69, added: "These bins have always been here. They are from here and they have come out and gone back in for years."
