Fulham have reportedly re-opened talks to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as Nottingham Forest were closing in on a deal.
It was reported earlier this week that Forest had made progress in their pursuit to sign the 22-year-old after Fulham saw a bid rejected and walked away from discussions. The Blues' academy product has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge and spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. Chelsea are keen to cash in on the player before Friday's deadline and are said to have demanded a fee of £8million to part ways with Hudson-Odoi. According to the Evening Standard, the Cottagers have returned to the negotiating table. The report adds that he has agreed personal terms with Fulham but there is also the option to reunite and be led by his former England youth coach Steve Cooper at the City Ground. Along with Forest and Fulham, Everton, Lille and Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq are also alert to the winger's situation. Hudson-Odoi has been training with Chelsea's under-21s for the last two months as he looks to get his career back on track.
