A full list of events which will mark this year’s Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday has been released.
for peace in conflicts both past and present.Saturday, November 11 A Remembrance Service, conducted by The Rev Richard Selby, will be held at Memorial Gardens, Market Street, Edenfield, at 10.40am, followed by refreshments at the community centre, off Exchange Street on Saturday, November 11. This service is organised by Edenfield Village Residents’ Association.
A service will be led by Reverend David Burrow at Rakefoot Methodist Church in Crawshawbooth starting at 10am, followed by Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 11am. There will be a Service of Remembrance, including a two minute silence at 11am. Following the Service of Remembrance, everyone is welcome to cross the road for light, warm refreshments inside the Civic Hall .Respects will be paid at Trickett’s Memorial Ground, Burnley Road East, Waterfoot, at 12.30pm. This service is organised by Waterfoot Forward.
