A weekend of races are planned at the end of the month around the Bolton area with significant disruption to the road network
Motorists have been urged to plan ahead due to road closures during Ironman UK. Thousands of competitors will swim, run and cycle around the borough of Bolton as a weekend of events returns from Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2.
“In order for the event to run safely and smoothly, it is essential we have necessary road closures in place along the route. A road access hotline is available now and throughout the race weekend by calling 03330 11 66 00. Residents can also email [email protected] for more information but this will not be monitored on race day.Le Mans Crescent, Howell Croft North and Howell Croft South will be closed from 6am on Friday, June 30 to 9am on Monday, July 3 to allow workers to set upPedestrianised parts of Deansgate, Hotel Street and Market Street will be closed from 5.30pm to 9pm.
