Nicki Minaj's performance in Manchester will be rescheduled
Live Nation have confirmed that Nicki Minaj's gig at the Co-op Live has been cancelled. This comes hours after reports that the 41-year-old American rapper was arrested in Amsterdam today .
The singer's gig, at the Co-op Live in Manchester tonight, was thrown into doubt after Minaj posted on X that she had been detained by police for items in her luggage at 3pm on Saturday. As of 9.37pm tonight, as fans were waiting inside the venue for an update for over two hours, it was announced that the gig was cancelled.READ MORE: Nicki Minaj latest: Co-op Live updates
The full statement reads: "Nicki Minaj’s scheduled performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Saturday 25th May has been postponed. Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled performance which will be announced ASAP. "Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible. We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused. More information will be available at your point of purchase."
Earlier this evening, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee have confirmed that the 41-year-old American rapper has been released after she was arrested earlier this afternoon. In a new statement, they said she was released after 'paying a fine'.
