Six parts of Preston’s history and heritage we as a city could make more ofPreston’s unique bus stop and the history behind itA committee of volunteers that has transformed the fortunes of a Fulwood park is on the lookout for a new chairman or chairwoman.Formed in May 2015, its chairman since then has been Geoff Rand who, after a decade of dedication, has decided it is time to step aside.In that time, Friends of Conway Park has raised over £172,000 through grants and other fundraising.
The park was created in 1967 and is owned by Preston City Council, which is one of the key relationships which the committee chair needs to manage, said Geoff.
