Brighton and Hove Albion fans have blasted Crawley Town star Jay Williams after his horror tackle on new signing Matt O’Riley.
On Monday, it was confirmed that the Seagulls have added former Celtic man O’Riley to their squad for an undisclosed fee. A statement said: “We are pleased to confirm the club has completed the signing of midfielder Matt O’Riley from Celtic, for an undisclosed fee.“The 23-year-old Danish international has signed a five-year contract until June 2029 with Albion, subject to international clearance.”However, less than 10 minutes into his debut, O’Riley was on the end of a strong challenge from Crawley midfielder Williams.Meanwhile, Williams managed to stay on the pitch and was only shown a yellow card.
