New flats in Clifton will bring the company's residential portfolio to 37 properties across the region, with several more in the works for 2025 onwards

An award-winning funeral business, which owns and manages many residential flats across Nottinghamshire, is building six more new apartments to rent in Clifton. AW Lymn was given planning permission for a new purpose-built funeral home with additional commercial space and residential flats on Clifton's high street last year.

Pete Clarson, commercial director at AW Lymn said that people are often unaware the company has acquired and manages residential accommodation on the floors above the majority of its funeral homes – because the business, due to the nature of its work, can only operate efficiently on the ground floor.

Mr Clarson said: "We are aware of the scale of our funeral homes across the region and actively seek ways to utilise our space as best as possible to supply additional accommodation to local areas."Our network is ever growing, and we want to ensure we are bringing residential additions that are going to be welcomed by the community, continuously investing into areas that we are proud to have called home for decades.
