Announced during Funko's H-Pop! Talk panel during San Diego Comic-Con with a teaser trailer featuring a friendly-looking Funko Pop called Freddy, the currently untitled game is said to be a AAA action platformer developed in partnership with Jon Burton's 10:10 Games studio."Funko is an iconic brand that truly understands the ingredients it takes to develop a world-class video game," Design Director for 10:10 Games, Arthur Parsons said in the.
While the teaser trailer has eluded at many games coming from the partnership, only one has currently been announced, although it's still untitled and set to release sometime in 2023. The AAA action platformer is expected to be created 'T' for teen and will be developed for"current and next-gen consoles and PC" while also sporting major third-party studio integration.
10:10 Games' founder Jon Burton previously founded Traveller's Tales, the studio and publisher for the now iconic. With Burton's experience working on the Lego games, we can imagine that we'll be seeing something of a similar vein with Funko's offerings, although the appearance of Freddy in the trailer could mean we're in for an original story — potentially with some franchise crossover.
