MacroBusiness Founder Leith van Onselen has suggested the responsibility of inflation has been left to the Reserve Bank of Australia, who only have one tool to deal with it.

“It’s a funny situation … We’ve basically left our responsibility for inflation to the Reserve Bank

who obviously has one tool, and that’s interest rates,” Mr van Onselen told Sky News host Erin Molan.
