The reviews for Miller's prequel, however, have been generally positive, with critics praising the scale, scope, performances, and propulsive action. Furiosa currently enjoys a strong 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and the audience score is just below that at 89%.
Unfortunately, this positive reception didn't translate into box office performance. Furiosa's budget is estimated to be around $168 million, and it's opening weekend box office haul of $25 million contributed to what was one of the lowest-grossing Memorial Day weekends in decades. As of writing, Furiosa's worldwide box office haul sits at $160.3 million.
