Furious Ayrshire woman claims husband has been left 'a vegetable' after heart op is axed
A businessman has been left “a vegetable” after being denied a heart operation and taking a stroke, his wife-of-51-years claims.
John - who up until seven months ago was still busy working running two convenience stores in Ayr and Alloway - spent a week at Ayr Hospital following the stroke before being transferred to Crosshouse for seven months. “In the interim another doctor cancelled the operation and said John would never, ever have an operation. I don't know why the operation was cancelled.
“He’s now just a vegetable. He’s not able to do anything - he can’t even sit up, he can’t move, he’s just lying in bed.”
