A councillor says he hopes it will 'act as a deterrent to those that continually ignore the rules'.
Another traffic camera which will detect motorists who flout banned turnings at a busy town centre junction has gone live.
From Monday, the new equipment will centre on those that turn left from Horseshoe Street on to Marefair, and right into Gold Street. He added that he hoped "residents will be supportive of our efforts to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers and reduce the risk of accidents".The new camera follows theThere will be a six-month grace period on new devices, with a warning notice issued for first offences by any vehicle.
