The protest prompted a huge police response but it passed off without serious incident with GMP confirming there were no arrests.
Thousands of people joined a pro-Palestine march into Manchester following a rally in Platt Fields Park today.
The protest came after militants from Hamas - proscribed as a terror group in the UK - launched attacks in Israel, taking hostages and killing at least 1,300 people. Many of the people who joined the protest were draped in Palestine flags and waved banners which demanded 'Freedom for Palestine'.
