Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight OFF as Ukrainian’s manager blames Gypsy King
Talks have been dragging on over a clash at Wembley Stadium on April 29.claim negotiations have broken down and it is no longer going ahead and the Ukrainian has shut down his training camp.
“No matter how much Usyk compromised, he was pushed for more,” Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, told boxing reporter Steve Kim., in Fury’s favour, following a back and forth between the heavyweights on social media.Despite the favourable terms for the Gypsy King being agreed, with Usyk also asking for him to donate £1million to Ukraine, there were still doubts about whether the contracts would actually be signed.
The WBA had extended their deadline until April for Fury vs Usyk to be agreed, or they would order Usyk’s next mandatory title defence. The Ukrainian holds the WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight titles, while Fury has the WBC and Ring Magazine belts. It means boxing fans will not get to see the long-awaited undisputed heavyweight showdown between the undefeated fighters.
