The swimming baths have been closed for around 18 months

Fylde Council has approved plans to acquire Kirkham Pool for £1, after the swimming baths has been closed for around 18 months.

The pool, previously named Kirkham Rural Splash was closed in August 2023 after calling it no longer "financially viable". The pool closed in 2021 after it was damaged by Storm Arwen, which caused hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage. As well as Kirkham Pool, the Council is currently procuring the new operational contract for St Annes Pool. It will incorporate the pool in Kirkham and provide funding for its refurbishment plan.
