The All-Ireland Football Championship format will stay the same for 2025, but pre-season inter-county tournaments have been put on hold for next year.
The GAA's An Coiste Bainistiochta and Ard Chomhairle held meetings on Friday and Saturday, where several decisions were made.Read more: Martin O'Neill on Larne's Euro success, Kenny Bruce and 'decent' wages The meetings resulted in 'Option 1' being presented as the preferred choice for potential implementation for the 2026 season, reports the Irish Mirror.
It was also decided that pre-season competitions be suspended for one year and that a return to training date to be decided at the next meeting.
