Everton have been linked with a potential move for Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo

Manager Harry Catterick famously labelled his legendary Everton centre-half and captain Brian Labone as “The last of the Corinthians” but the Blues are now being linked with a move for a player from a Brazilian namesake club.

The use of Comparisonator’s Virtual Transfer tool enables the parameters of his performances in Brazil’s Serie A this season to be correlated against those already turning out in the Premier League in his position.

Moscardo also makes the top 10 for ball recoveries – where a player retrieves the ball when neither team had possession – with 9.47, which would place him seventh in a category led by Lemina on 12.06. He does like to carry the ball forward too though and only two Premier League peers can better his 2.88 dribbles per game while he would also rank sixth for successful dribbles on 1.54 behind leader Bissouma on 3.11.
