PRESIDENTIAL Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Lorenzo “Larry” G. Gadon will remain in his new position even after he was disbarred by the Supreme Court.

In a statement on Wednesday, the SC-Public Information Office headed by lawyer Brian Keith Hosaka, said the magistrates voted- 15-0 in favor of Gadon’s disbarment. “The Court will never tolerate abuse, in whatever form, especially when perpetrated by an officer of the court,” the Court declared.

The Court noted that there are six other administrative cases pending before the Office of the Bar Confidant against Gadon and four before the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Gadon sought to have the two justices recused from acting on the case on grounds which the Court found to be purely conjecture.
