Police are investigating reports of shots being fired during a second night of trouble in Galliagh in Londonderry.
It is the second consecutive night a driver has been taken from his vehicle in the area.
Ch Supt Goddard said police were also aware of "video footage that has been circulated and posted online in relation to this". "I would again appeal for people to please leave the Galliagh community and let it get back into a way of peaceful community development."
