The production, called 1724, is set to return to the Fullarton Theatre in Castle Douglas in August

The story of The Galloway Levellers is being brought to life in an entertaining and educational stage production.

The incensed tenants rose in open revolt and levelled the enclosure dykes – and became known as The Galloway Levellers.Stewart Cameron, the National, Operatic and Dramatic Association representative for south-west Scotland, praised the Fullarton’s production, which is entitled 1724.
