‘Then they called “Wrap!” and I just f***ing broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.
‘It wasn’t so much about Jon. It was about not being in this world, not getting to smell those smells, fight those fights, be with these people – the whole package.’Not just the embodiment of Jon Snow, Kit felt the effects of taking off his costume for the last time – something he’d donned in various fashions since 2011’s season one.‘But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned,’ he added.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2 way back in July last year, Kit said: ‘It’s just been this amazing journey. I kinda said to them on my wrap speech that it’s always been more than a job. They were a family and it was my life.
