The games shop originally opened in a closed gym building around the corner in 2023
A popular gaming business where people can compete in virtual tournaments and paint miniature models has moved to a "different, bigger and better" location. GamesHaven has opened in Nottingham city centre, in the former site of independent theatre Nonsuch Studios in Lennox Street.
However last December, the business announced it would be moving around the corner due to '"problems with the building'". Now based in Lower Parliament Street in the former site of independent theatre Nonsuch Studios - which left the unit in January 2024 due to post-COVID financial pressures - the business is operating under the new name GamesHaven and says the new building will "level up" the local gaming scene.
"We’re adding more games, events, and exciting activities over the coming months. Games Haven Café is about to level up the local gaming scene. Packed with board games, wargames, miniatures, TCGs and RPGs.The new venue, which officially opened on December 14, 2024, is set to provide ample space for gaming events including miniature gaming, hobby space, and roleplaying games. Gamers will also be able to paint and assemble miniature models at the site in a hobby space.
