Sicarius McGrath was involved in gang violence from the mid-1990s until 2016
Former gang leader Sicarius McGrath, who had been imprisoned for setting up an illicit firearms workshop, has revealed startling plans he once harboured to commit a terror attack after his incarceration. Labelled a "monumental risk to the public" before turning over a new leaf, McGrath was embroiled in gangland skirmishes from the mid-1990s till 2016.
Furthermore, McGrath admitted laying groundwork for these terror plans whilst still behind bars, pinpointing pubs and bars as targets. He rationalized that attacking such establishments would avoid harming children, as they were typically adult venues frequented by what he termed "infidels", reports the Liverpool Echo.
"I tried to contact someone who was well known and has been convicted of terrorism, but nobody got back to me. But had this individual got back to me and given me a little bit of guidance and encouragement, there's no doubt in my mind I would have gone through with the attack."
