The first report of a body in the water at the Grand Canal in Dublin was made to Gardai shortly before 8am on Saturday morning
A probe has been launched by Gardai after two bodies were found in Dublin's Grand Canal this morning. The first report of a body sighting came in just before 8am on Saturday, 6 July 2024.
The area remains cordoned off for a full examination, with notifications sent to the Office of the State Pathologist and the local coroner.Donnybrook Station-based Gardai are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the grim discovery. They added: "Gardai have identified both individuals, but the formal identification process is still ongoing."
