Gardening enthusiast Carmen Johnston has offered a unique tip for boosting plants' growth using an out-of-the-box homemade fertiliser. The unconventional method, outlined on Facebook, involved using 'banana peel water'.
"As fresh peels are added, old ones turn brown and can be discarded. This formulation makes for an excellent organic fertiliser. It works wonders on veggies, herbs, flowers and tomatoes. I am currently also using it on my green pepper.", reports the Mirror. Her innovative gardening advice sparked enthusiasm amongst the online gardening community, with over 2,000 comments on her post. According to Devon Live, Christie Helen wrote: "Yay finally a use for bananas I bought; looked at but didn't eat."
