Rob Cross wins only his third game at the World Grand Prix, as he beats the tournament favourite Luke Littler 2-1 in sets to secure his place in round two

Speaking in a rare media scrum, the Scottish arrows star said: “Months ago I played with a young German lad who was nine years old and just as good as Littler.“You shouldn’t be playing darts like that at nine years old, maybe 29 but not nine. They’re everywhere now.” “It can only get better, to what heights? I don’t know. Will darts be as good as it was in 2014, 15, 16? That will take some beating even with the talents on the go now.”
