Gary Lineker's 'unusual' relationship with ex-wife Danielle, BBC salary and rift with brother Wayne
Gary Lineker has made headlines over the last few days after after being pulled from presenting Match of the Day amid a row over his social media posts.
Is Gary Lineker married? Lineker has been married and divorced twice. He met his second wife, Cardiff-born actress Danielle Bux, now 43, on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. The pair got a divorced in January, 2016, after they had spent seven years together. Lineker and Danielle actually opted against involving divorce lawyers when they split, instead filling out all the required forms together. The friendship Lineker has maintained with Danielle extends to her first daughter, who she had at the age of 22 - Lineker describes Ella as his step-daughter and still visits her in the US.
He has made money from commercial tie-ups with brands such as Walkers crisps and enjoyed a hugely successful football playing career before that. He also own his own TV production company, Goalhanger Films.
