Gary Lineker wants an ex-England boss to replace Steve Cooper as Leicester City manager instead of Chelsea and Manchester United flops.
Leicester sacked Steve Cooper after just five months in charge Gary Lineker has named who he thinks should be the new Leicester City manager following the sacking of Steve Cooper on Sunday. Cooper has left the King Power just five months after replacing Enzo Maresca, with the club 16th in the Premier League and just a point above the relegation zone.
‘I think he’s really got something and I think there’s a little bit of a reluctance in the Premier League opposed to perhaps other leagues and I think with possible exceptions – Brentford, Brighton, who have brought in young managers that they think have got something about them, a real coaching ability that I think is there and you take a bit of a punt. ‘Now, it’s difficult with a club that’s obviously going to be fighting relegation.
