Gary Neville should consider a remarkable return to management to replace Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Gary Neville has been urged to consider a return to the dugout That’s according to former Match of the Day host Des Lynam who believes the Sky Sport s pundit remains the best man for the job despite his last managerial post ending in March 2016. Despite scrapping a win in the Europa League against Rangers in midweek, the pressure remains on new boss Amorim.
‘My plea to him was over three years ago but as the men with their furrowed brows took their temporary residence in the United dugout, Neville has remained the best candidate, in my mind.’ After retiring from football in 2011, Neville spent four years working as a coach with Roy Hodgson’s England side before accepting an offer to manage Spanish side Valencia. However, his spell in charge saw him win just three of his 16 league games before he was sacked after less than four months in charge.
