Dozens of protestors calling for the university to divest from business interests with Israel remain steadfast Monday.
Gaza solidarity protestors at George Washington University removed barriers around their makeshift encampment on the University Yard as they remain for a fifth day. April 29, 2024.
The protestors made their message clear; they're not moving anytime soon, not unless changes are made. Those barriers the school said it placed around the University Yard for security were piled in the middle of the "unauthorized" encampment Monday morning. For its part, the school suggested the demonstration be moved to Anniversary Park, though protestors told 7News that they plan to remain.
