The couple spent weeks apart as Gorka took part in the BBC One dance contest before his Halloween week exit
Gemma Atkinson has shared why she's really happy Gorka Marquez was given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing after he had to spend weeks away from their Greater Manchester home.
While they performed each weekend they were still in the dance contest at Elstree, the London-based studio, Gorka was also busy training alongside partner Dr Punam in Glasgow, where the practising GP is based and was juggling being on the show with her NHS work.
She added: "He's in London at the minute rehearsing for Blackpool but he's back on Monday so Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday he'll be on the school run, not me, which is fab." Gorka has since headed back home to Gemma and their two children - Mia and Thiago - but it appears to Spanish dancer was in a bit of a rush. On Monday , the morning after the huge awards ceremony, Gemma took to Instagram and shared a string of pictures of her final look.
