A wartime helmet insert, polish from the 1800s and a Christmas card from 1921 were just some of the numerous artifacts they found.
A couple could not believe their eyes when they stumbled upon an array of historical artifacts while renovating their Victorian home in the U.K.Milly, 26, and her boyfriend Louis, 27, picked up the keys to the derelict property in March. The couple quickly set to work on the South Wales villa which had been left unoccupied for over five years. Little did they know that they'd find a treasure trove of antiques along the way.
'The property had been built in 1859 and was used as a home back then, but through the years it has also served as a doctor's surgery and more recently as a bishop's residence. We actually purchased it from the Catholic Church!'The objects they found, each in notably good condition, were spread across the large property, which includes a cellar and an old stable.
