Surnames as first names are also trending Colleen said surnames as first names – for both boys and girls - are another trend for 2025.Celebrities who opted for a surname as a first name include Victoria Beckham – who picked Harper for a girl and Cruz for a boy, along with the non-traditional boys names Brooklyn and Romeo.
In fact, Victoria and David's own surname – Beckham – is on Colleen's list as a top boys name for 2025.'I think we’ll start seeing more traditional male names being chosen for girls, such as Drew, Noah and Dylan,' Colleen predicted.Colleen gave some examples: '1-2 syllables and 3-4 letter names like Cal, Mack, Vann and Case for boys and Navy, Indy, Drew, and Reya for girls.
